After a two year stint as a Production Executive at Santa Monica Pictures, David returned to the world of independent production. During this period he produced CRITIC'S AND OTHER FREAKS, SEVEN DAYS OF GRACE, and RIVER MADE TO DROWN IN, starring Richard Chamberlain, Michael Imperioli, James Duval and Talia Shire. He also produced dozens of national TV Commercials for clients including; AT&T, Skechers, Volkswagen, Nissan, Kodak and Sony. As a 1st Assistant Director, David has worked on over thirty films including: SHADE, starring Gabriel Byrne, Sylvester Stallone and Melanie Griffith; SCENES OF THE CRIME, with Jeff Bridges and Noah Wyle; IMAGINARY HEROES, with Sigourney Weaver and Jeff Daniels; DIRTY with Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Cole Hauser; and MONSTER, starring Christina Ricci and Charlize Theron, who won an Academy Award for her performance. David has also had the privilege to work twice with Mark Burnett on his flagship series, ECO-CHALLENGE, (New Zealand 2001 and the Fiji Islands 2002), where David coordinated several video and helicopter crews covering the race over a wide range of wild terrain. This experience led to similar positions on COMBAT MISSIONS for USA Network and SURVIVING NUGENT for MTV Networks. He is currently awaiting the release of three recent assignments: CARRIERS, for Paramount Vantage starring Chris Pine and Piper Perabo; MY SASSY GIRL, for director Yann Samuell; and THE MERRY GENTLEMEN, which marked the directorial debut of beloved American actor, Michael Keaton.
David's assignments have taken him around the world and on location to every major film market in the United States. They represent a wide range of budgets and a large cross-section of the Hollywood community. Most importantly, they demonstrate a wealth of hands-on experience in every aspect of film production.
