Nate Goodman cut his teeth behind the camera prior to embarking on a career as a screenwriter. After graduating with honors from Brown University, Nate enrolled in the graduate program in film at UCLA. With a year completed, Nate was looking for more hands-on experience, especially that which would enable him to observe directors closely. He became a cameraman as much because the job would provide him with a perfect vantage point as it would a means of technical expression. His year at UCLA, and his association after with his close friend's projects continue to this day though consultation on the films of Alexander Payne, Brad Silberling and Niels Mueller.
After working for nearly 15 years behind the camera, Nate decided to return to his original desire: writing and directing. NYMPHO NUNS, EXPLODING CHICKENS AND OTHER STORIES is being Executive Produced by Alexander Payne. Among Nate's other projects currently casting is most notably an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray entitled DORIAN, originally commissioned by Producer Cary Woods and Independent Pictures, and OUR GHOST STORY, an eerie and emotional post-9/11 drama that has the interest of Sandra Oh (SIDEWAYS) to star. He is also in the process of adapting OUR GHOST STORY into an Opera with film composer Rolfe Kent (ELECTION, SIDEWAYS). Most recently Nate wrote the final production draft for FORMOSA BETRAYED (Adam Kane, dir.), a political thriller starring James Van der Beek and John Heard that just completed post-production and is now pusuing a television series based on his feature script PLAGUE 1 with Peace Arch Entertainment.
